Sheena Shay
Sheena Shay has spent her life helping others in any way she can. Her interest in helping others began at an early age, starting and continuing with her involvement in community volunteering. She has always been comfortable with presenting to large groups and often has a unique and entertaining presence on stage. Having been on stage performing since the age of three, Sheena is able to find a sense of ease and comfort with being at the centre of attention.
Her professional life consists of more than 15 years of event and customer service experiences, including coordinating, planning, managing, hosting and providing security in a variety of projects. Her time spent with events has granted her many unique opportunities including meeting both high profile professionals, as well as celebrities. Through these opportunities she has been able to gain varying insights.
Although Sheena struggled academically for a majority of her life due to her late diagnosed learning disabilities. She has been able to accomplish a multitude of educational achievements. Her background includes certificates in visual presentations, event management, and security procedures. She has also obtained a Diploma in Hospitality Management with Honours, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management.
Being diagnosed with her disabilities later in life was a challenge for her. She has since accepted her condition and has become an advocate of supporting learning disabilities as learning differences. Sheena often presents publicly on both her personal struggles and rewards of her diagnosis.
Sheena’s natural talent for presenting and helping others has allowed her to be recognized as a skilled ambassador as well as a leader and mentor to others. She hopes to continue to spread her inspiration to others by using her own personal experiences and unique perceptions to help anyone who may be needing a new insight in a life situation.
