ADHD and ME!

ADHD is a part of who I am.

Before I start explaining anything or providing any tips I’d like to just introduce myself and say a little about me, I’m putting a little forewarning about how sometimes my writing might take a side note that can be a bit of a run away train. It can be a bit off topic and can often sound a bit confusing but often funny. This is one of the things that will be seen often with me because of my ADHD so I will often put these side notes in these type of brackets { } this is so you can quickly skip over that and move on with the actual article. However if you do suffer form the same styles of ADHD that I have,  you might want to read it, it might really resonate with the same thoughts that you have and can help you feel more connected and supported knowing that others think like that too. If you don’t suffer from any ADHD and just wish to get to know a little be more about me and get inside my head, feel free to read the runaways.

Another thing I wish to make clear is that I am not a professional or formally trained in my ADHD. I am not a doctor in any way. I do not intend to be an expert on ADHD or other neurological disorders, I am however an expert on MY OWN ADHD, I’m an expert on how I’m affected by it, and what I have done to accommodate myself. I will be glad to share the information that I have learned about my ADHD and will be happy to guide others to where I have learnt the information I have, I am also fully open to any suggestions or advice. I’m not perfect I know this, and I’m open minded to get constructive criticism, however I will not tolerate any bullying or harassment of any kind. You can disagree with my point, you can provide proof or evidence that contradicts me, but no one has the right to criticize to the point of just being mean. It won’t be accepted or tolerated bullying of any kind and will simply not be allowed.

I do hope that with all that I have said, or technically wrote, {although I did use a dictation app for this so I guess also technically I did say this, anyways} that something will be a positive impact on anyone who is reading this.

As I stated, I have ADHD which means my brain works differently, which means I work differently, some common affects that people with ADHD is hyper focus and impulsive commitments. So in my case, I get a great idea like a Self-accommodating self help blog, I jump in on it, I tell a bunch of people about it, I find someone to help design and built the site, I pay hundreds of dollars for costs, domain registration, compensation for research and development. I mean I go all in! 100% of all my spare time is focused on it, I stay up late, sometimes pulling all nighters just focusing on this. It becomes my addiction! Things get going, then I slowly start losing momentum, then I lose focus, then I start meeting struggles or challenges and then it stops. And then this goal and plan ends before it even starts. That is a real life experience, this blog was started in 2020, and had a lot of momentum for about 5 - 6 months, and then it sat in the dusts of the internet world for over a year and a half, in that time, I was able to create some new techniques that has helped me get this blog back up and running and I can actually say that some of these has kind of saved my blog they are the reason it’s here now. I hope that when you learn about the things I have done, my ideas on other aspects of overcoming personal and invisible barriers, that you will be able to find a new way to achieve satisfaction in your life.

As always keep Slaying it!
