Hello! I’m Sheena!

Hello, and welcome to my Blog! 

This is my first blog and my first attempt at one. I have thought about blogging for a long time. On and off I have come up with different ideas of a blog, some where based off of personal struggles I was facing, some where about controversial topics, I even thought about one focusing on conspiracy theories. This current one I am working on is one that I think has some potential at least its the one I’m most passionate about. I hope for it to cover a couple of different topics but mainly focusing on self growth. 

It’s not just about self improvement, I am hoping and planning to have it as a step by step guide to a lot of things. I hope to inspire people to find more satisfying ways to accomplish their goals. Not just more ways to complete a task as there are millions of self help books and blogs and training that are out there. But if you are anything like me, you feel like you have tried them all and nothing works. The truth is you probably won’t find something that will work, but don’t worry there is hope, you may not find something that helps, but hopefully you will see how I have been able to create something that helped me, and you are welcome to try them yourself or use it as inspiration to create your own method that will help. 

No two people are the same, we know this, even identical twins aren’t copies of each other. Although no one is the same a vast majority of people have the same triggers and can fall into a standard type of situation. In our society we do cater to the masses, it’s the most effective and efficient method to help and support the largest group of people. And in most cases this will help everyone to some level, but if you are extra out of the general masses this can make it even harder to find something that well work for you.  

For me I have a couple of neurological differences this includes things like my severe level of ADHD and also other learning issues such as dyslexia, I also suffer from anxiety. All of these extra conditions causes me to find even less and less general tips and tricks that actually worked. I have tried support groups, self help groups, life coaches, specialists and although I would find a little something in each of these, the one thing I was able to see was that what they were offering wasn’t always working for me the way it seemed to work for others. What I did learn from all these different experiences is that, they all had different styles, and each of the seemed to have something new to offer. So it got me thinking, where are all these new tricks coming from? Why did one support not talk about the other options offered at a different support. Then it kind of clicked for me! There was NEW TRICKS BEING INVENTED! Well if that was true that means, the right support maybe hasn’t been invented yet, and instead of waiting for something to be invented to work for me, why couldn’t I invent something that will work for me. 

So that’s what I did, and I’m still doing, I’m still currently finding more and more skills and tricks that I am creating that are inspired by other things or even sometimes completely new. These new things as I create them I work on them and I find that they help me in different ways. When I have shared them with others its because they have often asked me “wow how are you making this work for you” and then I realized, maybe other people need new tricks too. 

So that is what my Blog and this website is all about. Its about me sharing my own tips and tricks that I have found that help me achieve and feel more satisfied with what I am doing. I won’t say all my tips have helped me be successful in everything because failure happens, and its ok to fail. It’s really about feeling complete or satisfied with the outcome. 

I have been able to create some alternative on some current things out there, and been able to invent all new things. I hope to be able to help others, with things like my “STEPS goals”, which is a variation of the SMART goals planning, I also have something that works for me that I call PIE Planning, this one I haven’t found anything else like but that doesn’t mean it isn’t already out there, or if it is I claim no infringement plans and apologize to those that did create it. Some organization tips like my basket drop technique. Tricks that I have to prevent me from leaving things behind, or forgetting to pack things (especially on vacation). I also have found alternatives to things that didn’t really fit for me like vision boards, or check lists. To be honest I still use some standard stuff like to do lists, and using a day planner, but often they work for shorter periods of time and don’t have a lot of follow through.

My hopes are that in my Blog you will be able to find ways to improve your own situation. I will also talk about how overcoming invisible barriers, and how to self accommodate, again with tips, tricks and ideas that have worked for me. But mostly I hope to inspire people to find ways to help themselves succeed in their life and in their own way! As my slogan says “Slay it your way!”
